John was trained at Worcester College of Fine Arts, England, and has lived in New Zealand for the past thirty years. Since his embarking on his full time professional painting career in 1978 he has held several exhibitions throughout NZ. John works both in oil and watercolour, specialising mainly in North and South Island scenes depicted in a representational impressionistic style.
